Hi all, this is my first post here. I've been lurking for a week or so, searching through for advice and inspriation.
I had a very average Btwin Triban 500 from Decathlon which had sat in the garage pretty much unused for a couple of years. Halfway through the first lockdown I started to use it pretty regularly, only for the garage to get broken into and the bike nicked.
I'd been debating whether to replace it, but in the end I got an old Peugeot Premiere from eBay for peanuts. It was missing a freewheel, but I nabbed one of those £50 government bike fixing vouchers which will cover the cost of that.
Bike restoration is all new to me, but I think (hope) I'm going to have a bit of fun and learn a lot along the way. There's some pics below of what it was like when I bought it, and I've already given it a pretty good clean and it's come up pretty well.
I'm not hoping to turn a profit or anything on it, just want a stylish French runaround.
