memories of motor fitters washing their hands with petrol, paraffin and sand

Back when men were ard and if you didn't have a machete to shave you just rubbed your face against a rock , Grrr .

I get the sand out sometimes and mix it with white spirit to clean my hand after a particularly messy job on the car but wouldn't think I was ard in the slightest, thought it was the opposite as it does exfoliate your skin a treat but I do get the Norwegian hand cream out after

Cleaning your oily hands - I use baby wipes. Cleaning parts - baby wipes. Tesco value baby wipes are like a million for 45p. Best degreaser I've used, and conveniently saturated on a disposable cloth.

They are scarily good at cleaning. They do take the top layer of your skin off if you use too many; and they are intended to be used  to clean baby's bottoms!

Baby wipes are good for most things. I use them to clean the inside of my car.Dashboard,headlining,etc. I guess they could do bikes.Maybe even babies.

I do find Nitromors is best avoided for all of the above.

Am i the ony one that uses the dishwasher to clean small componants (not bike frames) ?
