SWAP: My 750lb Rock Shox Super Deluxe spring for your 500lb

The LTS I'm working on has a 750lb spring, but I fear that will be a bit too hard for me when it's finally up and running (I weight 10 stone/ 64 kg). If anyone has a 500lb version to swap, I'd be eternally grateful. Mine's in good nick, I guess - it's only a spring so there's not too much to go wrong!

If you can let me know the dimensions of the one on your shock we can figure out if this one is any use to you
Its a Nuke Proof , has "progressive suspension 05-1057 275 x 2.25" written on it. I was told by the lad who sent me it that it was a 500lb though.

the spring you have is for a 5th element rear shock with a sring lb'age of 275lb and the stroke of the shock is 2.25.....in other words I doubt it would fit a lts as the springs are shorter

It will probably have a free length of around 120mm or so
the internal diameter will be 36mm min due to progressive shocks being oversized where the collar sits....normal older shocks are around 31.5 mm internal diameter(this will be where it ultimately fits or not....even though it is far too soft for what the O.P wants anyway)

ha ha...sorry ....I know a lot more about modern stuff than retro(only 29 lol)

the spring you have is for any of 5th element/manitou swinger/foxDHX/New vanilla R series(they're oversized unlike the old r/rc vanilla series)

Something like a patriot/heckler/stinky etc where the shock stroke is 57mm and the shock i2i is 200 mm ish

Blimey! I didn't even bother looking because I assumed they'd be really expensive! That's awesome, thank you. However, all the ones on that page are 1.25" or 1.5", but having had a look at mine the diameter (which is what I assume the measurement refers to) is 2" - am I looking at the wrong bit?

what you need to do is measure the stroke(the silver rodthat disappears when the shock compresses)...it will either be 1.25 or 1.5 ...if you're unsure then take off the shock...then the spring...then measure from where you can see the rod dissappearingto where the shock would touch if fully compressed....does that make sense....actually hold on ill find a pic

Cheers - the distance from the top of the bumper to the shock body is less than an inch, but it's an 1.5" from the bottom of the bumper to the shock. Am I measuring this correctly now, or do I have a defective shock? It looks OK! Apologies for the basic questions, but this LTS is my first full-sus rig and it's proving a baptism of fire!
