SWAP? LTS Spin rear end (red) for a polished one?

Call me crazy, but since the theft of my beloved LTS 1 I have acquired another LTS frame -same size, same year.... but the wrong colour.

The frame I now have is a another 6061 and labelled as an LTS 1, but the colours are more LTS spin. Black front Red rear. To recreate my stolen bike I need a polished frame.
So before getting involved with various toxic chemicals and paint strippers I thought I'd offer up the coloured bits. Seems a shame to waste good red paint.
It also means less work. :twisted:

Anybody interested/able to swap?

i have shock bit in polished that doesnt fit my lts 3000ds

the bit where it bolts onto the chain stay is smaller ? where the wheel sits ?

think its off the bike u got ?

Not sure. So far as I know the trunion seatstays are all the same.
The chainstay has changed a few times over the years and through the models though...
Got a pic of what's not joining up? Its hard to picture what is smaller in my head.
A 3000ds is a 7005 alu frame and I reckon the chainstay is way different from mine.

Could they just be bent inwards and just need pulling back out? Most bike rear wheels are the same there for the gap should always be the same..
They do look like the newer seat stays.

Interesting. It does look frighteningly narrow in the first pic....
I'll go compare measurements with your 4"


Just as a thought, How does the mystery seatstay match up with your STS? That is also a 6061 rear with th 'X' shape BB brace. Very similar to mine.
