swap a DR350 for a Bandit? got the replacement!

however ,come the spring time if you advertised both bikes for the same money youd get 20 folk phoning about the bandit and maybe 3 about the dr

hmmmm not a bike owner (or rider)

Sounds to me the problem is not if one bike is better than the other (value or Niche) but the fact that you dont use it for its purpose and you ride with your mates that have street bikes which equally makes it de-funk... Dont follow the heart follow the head !! :D

If it was a cycle world and all your rides were on the road with your mates on road bikes ....You wouldnt ride a mountain bike would you?

yeah i checked ebay for a guide on the DR, they used to sell for about 650 but they seem to have gone up to about a grand, my mate got his bandit (in the pic on page 1) for 650, a T plate with no tax or test and needing a bit of work, the one i'm gonna look at tomorrow has tax and test till june next year, but is a P plate, apparently the forks seals are weaping but i have 2 mates who can service the forks. other than that it's i have been told (by the mutual friend) that it is a good bike and a good offer.

it seems pretty fair financially but i don't really know enough about motorbikes to know whether it's worth it.

Look at it this way.

You can ride a Bandit all day at 70/80/90 mph (on private roads )

You won't do that on a dr for very long, if at all.

yeah i followed my mate on the motorway for around 3 miles this afternoon, he was cruising and i was on the rev limit laying on the tank!!

wasn't the most dignified riding position!

also i find my hands feel like they are vibrating after a longer ride when i get off the bike.

Most single cylinder fourstrokes will do that.
