.......Flexstems were often sported on Cannondales, in fact were'nt they actiually spec'd on some models?

In 1991 the SE1000, 2000 and Omega were spec'd with flexstems, and they were the rear suspension models.

I've only ever seen cannondales with cannondale suspension (I don't like that) but with the fatter tubes I would be tempted to go the manitou route as opposed to the slimmer rockshocks of the time.

You'll get way with 50mm travel, we all did it then.

Yup I'd go for Mani's, look great on dales

Will do some searching on eBay and see if I can find some forks or maybe a flexstem to do the job, if anybody knows of any for sale that would be helpful

No reason why not if your frame's 1". Would defo go for forks if I were you though. Mani's come up on here for not much more then that Flexstem.

I spoke to my Dad and he would prefer forks, so going to stick a wanted up now and see if anything comes up
