Hi all,
Got a rusty old 1980s CB (Italia) which had some original Super Champion Gentleman rims on it - but I'm struggling on the wheel size and can't get an accurate measurement.

At first I thought they were 27" so I tried a set of 27x1 1/4s and the clearance on the front fork seems very tight (1 or 2mm). Now I'm thinking the rims must have been 700c but I can't get an accurate enough measurement to check.
The picture (top right) shows no mudguards and describes it as having "tight clearances". Then the advert says "will also accept a mudguard with 700c wheels" (Bottom right).
She originally had mudguards on which I've thrown out so am I right in thinking that my old super champion rims are 700c (with mudguard) but the tight clearances with my 27" are fine (as in top picture)?
