SunTour's other components were made by other Japanese companies: Dia Compe made the brakes, Mikashima (MKS) made the pedals, Sugino made the cranks, and SanShin (anglicised to SunShine) made the hubs.
I don't know why SunTour didn't brand their early Superbe skewers with their own name.

Nice one Shaun, I've put an offer in.Midlife":1r7l38j1 said:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-Japan-Sun-Shine-Quick-Release-Wheel-hub-Skewer-Rear-/121837286746?hash=item1c5e11755a:g:cXoAAOSw7FRWUY~Z
Half way there
BITD I used Campag skewers as they always seemed to stay put. Even on rear chromed dropouts.......

Loose Screws had NOS rear skewers amongst a plethora of Superbe hub parts when I was looking a couple of years ago, but doesn't look like there's much available now..
