Sunn Xircuit frame

Tange and Fuji are or rather were two separate steel companies, Tange never made a tubeset called Fuji. This frame is built of Fuji StoutLite, which has nothing to do with Tange. So the seller's recollection is faulty there.

His statement about the so-called scratch is all very well. If you trust eBay sellers, go right ahead, but I don't. At the moment, what he says appears to be contradicted by his photograph. That's why I suggest that the only way he can sell the frame is to file down the 'scratch' and take another photo then. If after filing, it still looks like a deep cut/fracture, then the frame is pretty much unsellable.

Anthony - a little digression

for the sake of technical correctness, the frame of the xcircuit is actually tange DB so the seller is wrong on all counts

one model of Sunn was in Fuji Stout Light - it was the revolt ( and in 99 the urge which replaced it) - very nice frame by the way. My pub bike (below) is a revolt 94  It was the model in the range just above it ( and the highest being the exact columbus foco tubing one)

Tange DB is slightly heavier and possibly a bit more sturdy. It was probably the most successfull sunn frame which was on the 5000 range and then xcircuit

Its possible that an incorrect fuji sl sticker is on the frame hence the seller confusion  the tange sticker may be there too

I am always surprised to see that that Fuji SL tubing can't be found on other models of the period in other makes. Wonder if it was a bit expensive compared to tange comparable tubing ( possibly prestige ) ?
Any idea why ?
