as much as i liked the spesh i just didn't love it so swapped the frame for this bad boy. not ridden in anger yet but initial blast round the wood feels good.

comes in at a whisker over 27lbs, should get a bit lighter with the new wheels coming soon

That looks like a great bike - I was tempted by one of these frames when they were selling them on CRC.

How does it ride?

very nicely, on the short blast round the woods its had. stem needs flipping to raise the bars a nadge as was a bit twitchy on the downs. nice weight at 4.5lbs for a am style hardtail.

Not sure if the wheels would be too much silver though?

Nice bike, do you have any issues with the chain dropping off the top of the front chain ring?

only done about 1.5 miles so far got a lovely little off road loop that takes me 10 minutes. perfect for testing out bikes as has a bit of everything. have run the same system on previous bikes and did have the chain pop off once or twice but that was user error rather than anything else.
