Suitable shifters for drop bars and 7 speed.....

Hi chaps.......as per title really!.....

I'm going for a frankenbike set up to try something different, and my clockwork has a 7 speed road block, skinny slicks and I'm about to set it up with drops.......the diameter of the bars won't suit the clamps on the dx thumbies I wanted to use, and the road shifters I have kicking around are 6 speed.......

Any suggestions?.......
