The shoes I use had small plates for mounting slotted cleats, but the Look cleats do not use them so you could hear them rattle about regularly. When my sole separated from the upper I removed them and riveted the shoe back together (shoes are now bomb proof!). Now nice and quiet.i've had pedals click alsocleats
Just went for another short hard ride and things seem a bit better. Very quiet with just an intermittent click but not every pedal stroke as before; everything feels smooth.
