Stripping anodizing?

I have used bleach to do it before though, cant remember where i read to do it but it worked.

Wouldnt the soda pit the parts or is that timescale again?

Used the search function??

Caustic soda / oven cleaner

5 mins in it, rinse off with warm water
Finish with a brillo

Its bad stuff so wear marigolds & do outside

G
5 minutes?
NOOOO!
20 seconds in caustic soda solution shou,ld be enough to remove the ano.
Wash in a tub of water, then under a tap.
It might go black but this will rub off.
polish up with autosol! :D

I did a LX crank with one of the recm over cleaners, liquid in a sealed bag etc

To be honest it was a pain, took a few goes and left the metal looking pretty bad. It didn't just go in and come out 5 mins later stripped.

The end goal being to polish anyway, I'd just go straight to the sanding now...

Agreed, it takes seconds in caustic soda.

My kooka cranks took nearer 5 mins than 20 secs but I did remove and rinse regularly

Haha mixed bag we have here.

I wont be sanding the parts as there are alot of nooks and whatnot and its easier to source different colour parts over that.

The time differences are from either using oven cleaner (takes its time) or caustic soda/drain cleaner (seconds). Dont think bleach will shift it.

Yup; use caustic soda in the ratio recommended for shifting drain blockages, and it will only take seconds. Do it in the open air and wear eye protection and gloves .Don't breath the vapour! Dangle the item in the mix on a piece of string, jiggling occasionally to dislodge air bubbles. after 10 seconds transfer it immediately to a bucket of water.
Repeat as necessary.
job done! ;)
