Storage Hunters

I kinda like it, if you're talking about the one's on Quest with Allen and Ton, the other version on Dave is just really annoying :?

Brandis' bOObs on Storage Wars are the best thing on TV since Janet Ellis left Blue Peter.

anyone see it most staged thing ever

I got the impression they were in cahoots with the guys opening them and had 'perhaps' even been recently inside'

Why are the locks theyre cutting off all new

After a bit of reading it appears to work like this

Boxes are opened and the contents moved into different boxes to create 'high value boxes' these are then bid high pushing the small chancer out.The crappy boxes that have already been rifled through are left to these smaller sellers to get them cleared

And it gets worse.
Backhanders to the auctioneer, shill bidding, seems there is no end to the opportunities for the underpaid storage staff.

This.

Quite like Salvage Hunters (on Quest immediately before Auction Hunters)

Drew certainly knows how to turn a quid.

ALWAYS waiting for a nice retro MTB to show up!

Storage Hunters - TruTV staged crap. Still, I love the show. The fights seem staged. The episode with the nude guy in a cage was obviously staged. Emjoy some of the lesser players like Bear and 'Money' more than the couple, Jesse or the heavies. TruTV also produces Hardcore Pawn with staged fights. It seems a 'thing' for TruTV.

Storage Wars - The most entertaining group of buyers. Brandi may have stripped at a club Jarrod worked at. Bought a Shimano LX hub from Dave. Some of the drama seems staged there at times but not so much as Storage Hunters.

Storage Wars Texas - The most annoying group of buyers. Closet bound Moe buys a garbage unit and brings in some magic fairy lady who turns a dump destined dresser into a $500 wine rack for free and Moe makes money! Dumb. Lisa and her slob assistant don't have half a brain between them. When they do find a nice piece they sell it to Moe for nothing. Vic is annoyingly the charming one.

Auction Hunters - Allen and Ton are a great team. Interesting season so far with the Alaska trip and Hawaii next. They seem inflexible in their limits which I think hurts them at times.

Also enjoy American Pickers. Apparently Mike Wolf was a competitive cyclist at one point. The stuff is a bit old and rusty for me but I enjoy seeing the old stuff they find. America Restoration is another favorite. Seeing what they do to some of these random old items is amazing.

Anybody been out to a storage auction recently? Been thinking about it but I keep spending all my extra money on bike parts.
