Stooge vs retrobike

Re:

I had one of the first batch, so rear tyre clearance wasn't as great as the current models but still more than enough with a 35mm rim and 2.4 tyre

I have to be honest and say I'm a Jones convert so was as much interested to try the two back to back, frame was nicely finished and loads of clearance with the dropped top tube design, the thing that I felt let it down was the fork, however please bear in mind this is comparing it to a Jones Truss, the Stooge fork was a little harsh even with a big 3" tyre in the front.

I ran the Stooge set up with H-Bars as I find that the most comfortable hand position, but I was still getting aches in wrists and forearms after longer rides, which I don't with the Truss

It's not really fair testing back to back against a frameset that costs nearly twice as much but I was generally very pleased with how it rode, just let down a little by the fork

Hope this helps
