For Sale Stooge Mk2

It’s with a bit of a heavy heart that I’m selling my Stooge Mk 2. Summer holiday needs paying for and mrs_h is insisting it’s time to asset strip the bike shed to fund it. 😢 I still don’t what’s wrong with a stay at home biking holiday!

Anyway, if you don’t know what a Stooge is … let ChatGPT tell you all about it (with a couple of tweaks). It’s a rigid steel-framed ride from a small British company, designed for versatility and fun very much built in an retro Klunker style. With (relatively) slack geometry it offers a smooth and intuitive handling experience. Whether you're tackling rugged trails or cruising through bikepacking adventures, the Mk II delivers a unique blend of stability and responsiveness with an eye catching design. It has an an eccentric bottom bracket allows for single-speed use if you wanted to convert, making it a great choice for riders who appreciate simplicity and durability.

It was made in one size, reported as being 18”. Bike as photo’d is set up for me at 5’10” and I’d say I’m at the upper end of the rider size. Definitely medium rather than large.

The frame and forks have been used so have the usual minor scuffs to the paint but in my opinion, doesn't distract from the look of the bike. I'd consider it minor cosmetic only and no major chips or scuffs, and no dents or dings. It's taped up for a set of front/rear mudguards which I will also include.

It has an XT 1x12 drivetrain with XT hydraulic brakes. The wheels are WTB Scraper rims on Shimano hubs, fitted with Specialized Ground Control 27.5x3.0 tyres fitted tubeless. The tyres are fitted with Vittoria Air Liner inserts for extra protection on rough ground.

A Spank Stem with Tag bars manage the front end with a Kore seatpost and Fabric saddle bringing up the rear.

The Garmin mount and pedals are not included in the sale.

Looking for £725 and happy to post at cost, will just need to get a suitable box.

Would sell as a rolling chassis (frame, forks, wheels, tyres, Hope headset, BB, seat clamp and mudguards) for £550.
