To finish off a project I'm still looking for:

A pair of disc only/ready wheels, not too heavy if poss but W.H.Y?

9 speed drivetrain friendly triple chainset (square taper fit preferred at mo) but again W.H.Y

chain for above

Front mech for above that fits a 2000ish cnder cone (alu) bigger than 28.6 is all I know :? , can anyone enlighten me here please?

Top pull and by squinting with the tape measure against the tubing I'd say 31.8 is pretty close yes!

Do you have a adjustable spanner, slide it round your seat tube then remove the spanner and measure the gap. It should be 32mm for that year and model of Kona. So a 31.8mm mech should fit.
