it drives me nuts when noobs spam the Reader's Bikes forums with useless junk-posts or post their pub rides in someone elses thread.
i suggest a sticky for the Reader's Bikes forums to keep them clean (or at least try to).

What exactly do you suggest?

It's not for us to decide what constitues junk, as such I'd have to disagree with one of your posts.

However it is annoying when people spam other threads.

i am not annoyed by someone posting his pub bike in his own thread but it totally makes no sense to post it in anotherones thread.
Reader's Bikes is about one member presents his bike in one thread - right?
WD Pro's thread is worth keeping clean.
example:
http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewto ... 160#680160
on the other hand - as long as the creator of the thread isn't annoyed by those posts there is no issue...
i guess i'm just a bit frustrated by skipping through "what's my bike worth" threads in Reader's Bikes (referring to the GTS 1000 threads).

a little more moderator intervention or a nudge to 'keep it on topic guys'

But that would mean a little more house keeping from the mods' free and purely voluntary time...

We could all do our bit and keep the newbies well informed on where is appropriate to post. I was was newbie once and it was quite daunting to come barging in...

i must admit i agree with inigo, i hate it when i see someone do a really good build thread or story of their bike then someone comes along (not always a newbie) and chucks in a picture of their unrestored badly maintained covered in rust/mud/mixed ano heap in an attempt to make their heap seem better because it is similar to your pride and joy in some way.

what to do about it though? mods deleting stuff that is not on topic for that thread? bit over the top i think, maybe just a hint by the original poster to remove/edit the offending pic/post etc if they feel that strongly about it.

maybee pointing them in the direction of the "lets see your ..." threads the way
