Steve_T's 1989 Miyata Skyrunner

So I picked this up earlier in the week, with partial intent to part it out.

I'm usually partial to Canadian bikes, but these Japanese bikes have always intrigued me, but have never found a nice example to take home with me.
Original, minus the saddle, but the seller threw in the beat up Turbo, and last night I put on these skinwalls, just to see how it would look.
Not sure where I'm going with this, if I do anything at all other than ride it, anyone have any sugestions?

I will never understand why they would build such a nice carbon bondo frame with so may details and then spray over it to make it look like every other bike, drowning all the nice stuff underneath the colour.
(There was that infamous "bike spyder" at roughly the same time. Is was ridiculously light, cost ridiculous money. It was built on the basis of a specialized epic ultimate (titanium lugs made by merlin plus carbon tubes) witch is the nicest frame in the world imho. And then they painted over it in some dark color witch made it to look like every other cheapscate specialized steel frame.

Anyways. Enough braggin'.

Still a very nice bike. And in a very good condition, afaics.

I would not change too much, wont get any better, me thinks.

Cool frame in a flamboyant paint scheme. The frame is identical to my Century frame, apart from that the Century has 3 carbon tubes in front triangle. The durable frame and the XT group make a reliable combo. A Turbo would be better looking than this svelte seat.

Agreed, and a Turbo is on the way.
I'm surprised no one has made fun of the colour yet!
we're all waiting for you to show us your colour matched spandex, helmet, gloves and shoes to go with that bike!!!
