Stem cap bolt spec

What M size and length are stem cap bolts??

Got 2 or 3 of them but a new cap requires a new bolt as all mine are a bit manky :?

Yes M6, stainless looks best and is plenty strong enough. Suppose alloy would be ok as it doesn't do a lot once you've adjusted the headset because the bolts on the stem do the all the work.

Of course.. the topcap is purely aesthetic once the whole shooting match is tightened.. forgot that

Tighten it with a manky steel and then replace with a black ano one ..

Just checked my ebay feedback and the ones I bought are stainless, 30mm long and they were perfect.
