Ho hum.

Through no fault of my own and with very little that can be done about it I find myself with redundancy on the horizon.

Never ideal.

Still a drawn out process to go through to have it confirmed but things look half full.

I know a lot of folk have been through this recently so this isn't a plea or to show I am special just an opportunity to vent.

On the upside may get more time to ride

Ho hum.

Lot of it about..........my wife had a job within the NHS and was booted with others a week before xmas last......she is not taking it well, even though i bought her a bike to escape on :D

I have my last day at work today, I will be unemployed tomorrow. Not easy but we have these things to face. If there is anything you need to talk over PM me, I have been redundent a few times.

I don't hold out much hope for my company either, I guess most folks feel the same right now.

I'm trying to sort out an internet venture for my future, but I have to learn stuff, partner with someone or hire help, I don't know where to start right now.

The recession may for folks to go it alone in some way I guess. That said, I don't know who has any money to pay those folks.

Definitely a few people going through this at the moment. I 'escaped' the first round of local government culls, but with nearly the same amount of money to be saved next year (12/13) they'll unfortunately be more going. Got a restructure meeting tomorrow afternoon, which seems to be an annual thing.

Hope things work out for all facing redundancy.

It's strange as some areas are booming at the moment. A local tyre/car part place I use for courier-ing things now have six collections a day from City Link posting things out to customers!

Probably people DIY'ing their car repairs, the garages will suffer.
