SR Sakae Litage carbon

Bought this about 6 months ago and I've just got around to building it. Unfortunately the BB joint has come un-bonded and you can feel it move when you put a sideways force on the pedals. Also you can see corrosion on the lugs and bottle bosses. Does anyone know where I can get this sorted out?

I presume that this frame is quite rare as I only get references to aluminium frames when I google it. I suspect that it is a 91/92 frame although the previous owner told me it was an 88 model. I didn't think that they made this type of frame then but I may be wrong. Any ideas?

That is a work of art.

I think the BB can be pressed away and rebonded easily. Looks like your brake stays unbolt from your dropouts so that is good.

Lots of Proflex carbon bits come unbonded and are rebonded quite readily.

Are those lugs magnesium?

They do Vitus, but maybe they can also do a Litage???

If the lugs are alu, what could very well be the case, I think I would polish them.

If you have a local airfield the engineering company that's bound to be there can fix this for you.

Unfortunately the stays are bonded and bolted, similar to the Dynatech ones. I've already tried to dismantle them but I couldn't even move the bolts! I'm thinking of getting some dropouts made and going SS but then I won't be able to use my nos XT stuff.

No they're alu. The frame is made of the same materials as the alu version but with the three carbon tubes substituted for the alu ones.
