Squeezed off the road.

I've had a look myself (not with any fancy software mind) but I think that the resolution of the camera and the fact that the camera was moving the whole time means that It's not quite destinct enough to give a positive plate reading.
.

If the cops want to take it further all they have to do is ask the company for the taco of the offending lorry ... i.e you will have a time and date

So easy for them to ask the company for the where all there lorrys where at that time ... chuck out the ones not moving at that time ... then the ones moving at great speed and I bet you get down to one or two trucks
And the taco will have the driver name on it !

I do normally find HGV's are the best drivers and the worse seem to be white van twats and buses

I dont think these things ever have an outcome.
we talk about it a bit then it slips into the ether forever

I thought I'd posted the outcome before, but looking at the thread apparantly not.

Basically the offcer went to see the boss at Gorretts and had a word. He rang me afterwards and said that he had taken it seriously and had the right attitude and was going to call a meeting to mention to all of his drivers that it is not acceptable.

That's it, not more I can do. If it happens again (not that I ride often enough at the minute to get cut up often) then I will push a bit harder.

Excellent, well I would call that a result then. It should at least make that driver think again the next time he's in the same situation that he is risking someone's life and his own livelihood just to save a few seconds in time. On the hole though I do believe most HGV drivers to be very good.

On the whole I would say that I don't ever have any real problems, I've done about 80,000 miles on UK roads in the last 20 years or so. Never shierd away from the traffic, and I quite enjoy mixing it up around town.

BUT I can handle a bike and I know what i'm doing and have the 6th sense necessary for cycling/motorcycling. For those people who don't and still ride on the road then I would worry a bit.

Send a copy to the Transport Manager and ask what he intends to do about it. Depending on his reply, involve the police. SMIDSY is not acceptable.
Driver needs re-education or sacking!

Guys, you really should read the whole thread. Video already shown to the Police and they have had a word with the transport company who in turn is having a word with all the drivers.
