I do like the spring epic and I'm willing to do the coordinating providing the dates work (domestically)
I'm rather keen on the Nevis circuit, would like late April (however apprecaite this clashes with Easter and that'll have some family pressures for some) or early May.
I do see some risks in terms of the weather, river crossing, space in bothy (although I'm sure some would bring tents? I know I would), weather.. but fortune favours the brave.. and there's always plan b
Questions are
is it Spring Epic or potential Bivi / Bothy Adventure ?
would it tick our special event box ?
I reckon let's keep our options open. Let's pick a ride and a date that suits us for our Spring epic, and if it happens to fit into the National Series rides on a free weekend, then all well and good, we can get it on the calendar.
Personally, I'd like to see us do another epic later in the year... the coast to coast in September for a few years ago was spot on and no reason we can't do something similar round about then.

Right c'mon lets have a decision for a Spring Epic. I for one would like to know so I dont end up booking some other aspect of my life over the best date for a great epic ride.

Ok, here are two weekends in the balllpark of April/May that dont clash with anything too badly.
26-27 April 2014, clashes with National Surrey Hills which if you know your Englandshire is the extreme far end from us so no one from the southernend would worry about our highland plans.
next date is 3-4 May 2014 which clashes with nothing I can see.
choices of destination are:
Glendoll
Devils Staircase and Ciaran Path
Nevis Loop
Do the dates and destinations seem fine ?
If so I'll create a poll.

TBH honest, I was hoping we were sticking to early April or possibly may as muted in the 2014 rides planning thread, had tried to organise family around this. I'll likely to be out if it's either of the above. I take it 12-13 or 19-20 Apr & 10-11 or 17-18 May are clashes with other RB events.

Nope, it was just muted as April/ May so I chose dates that overlapped.
OK first I'll start a date poll but getting anyone to vote on a poll is never easy. We must twist arms to make them choose. Its the old herding cats bit again :roll:
