Spoke length question

Retro Guru
I’ve some Campagnolo Record hubs and Mavic GP4 rims which are destined to be built up together. Given that this particular marriage will be following a well-trodden path can anyone tell me what spoke lengths I will need? (Yes I am also too idle to work it out!)
I assume that the spoke count isn’t relevant but if it is then I will go into the loft and count if they are 32 or 36 (32 from memory though).

For 36h and 3x pattern I used 298 and 296 only on the right rear. For 32h I'd take those up by 2mm each. Check out my Raleigh Team build in the sig.

Re:

Which record hubs, and which gp4 rims? There are various versions of each, with different measurements. And yes, spoke count does make a difference!

Re:

He said that he can't be bothered measuring guys  The clue is to always measure. To measure the rims, cut off two old spokes from the elbow end to an equal length and fix nipples on to the threads. Measure the length to the nipple. Place these in holes at opposite sides of the rim. You then measure the gap between the ends of your cut off spokes and add the fixed lengths to get the total. Do this in a few places to check for consistency. Don't rely on the manufacturer's stated spec. Most hubs that you are likely to use will have been measured previously, but I always measure rims.

So, as things stand, the Record hubs are built onto clincher rims which will probably get scrapped. The GP4 rims are in unusually good condition with barely marked brake-track anodising. I’m gradually assembling the bits I will need (new bearing races and so on) and saw some stainless DT Race spokes and wondered if they were the right length. Before buying them I would have measured properly but, with thanks to gavr, I now have enough information to know that they aren’t even close to the right lengths. So everything will stay in the loft for now.
Expect an update in about five years- I have plenty of other projects to keep me busy for now.
