Removing a goosed fork air cap

I use the vice for far more than the average person

It’s far easier to turn the object when stuff I seized and I seem to have a lot of seized crap
I'm not saying its not doable. Won't work in this instance, but.

Actually, I don't care.

I'm not getting into an argument about it on a forum.

All yours Ishaw, good luck.

There isn’t any argument at all.

But you said it won’t go in a vice because of the crown and steerer. I simply showed you how it’s done……

Same method as I use on many stuck or broken items.

Even round Allen key bolts such as ok disc rotors can be clamped tight enough to turn out

I think the only method viable is the hammer and screwdriver approach. There's nothing for the vice to grip on to even if I had one.

I was toying with removing the air valve and seeing if I could force a large torx in the home and see if that would work.

You’d be Suprised what a vice can grab.

It seems someone has gone the “hitting” route before without much success.

Take the valve out (after depressurising as @novocaine suggests) then use a thread extractor - a left handed tapered thingy that wedges itself in whilst turning the correct way to extract.

They usually work well into soft material
