Splatter Kona Lava Dome in VGC (ebay.co.uk).

mine now

:D Yep I was the winning bidder did I pay too much ? to some people definitely, to others maybe, to me no way its the first "proper" mountain bike about 20 years ago. I had so many good times with that bike and had it for 5 or 6 years before I foolishly sold it when I got into road racing and have missed it so much over the years, so to find another in mint condition after all these years was too much for me to resist.
Picking it up next week can't wait :D

Pay too much? You're joking

£121 for a mint Lava Dome complete with all it's original parts and immaculate Brodie paint seems a bargain..I looked at this but it was too big for me. Glad it's found a good home :)

Edit - welcome to the site by the way

kona splatter

Cheers guys I wasn't sure how much to pay (would of gone a bit more) for such a bike in that condition. But working on the theory of what it was worth to me it seemed a bargain :D
I didn;t know about this site till now but what a cool place and thanks for the welcome

I'm not a Kona fan and I often think retro is overpriced - but that is I reckon a bargain! Very pretty bike.

Nice one. Especially like the near-mint mid-range groupset given that I'm a SunTour Whore ;-)

The frame is easily good enough to warrant upgraded components, and XC-Pro / -Comp is not that expensive these days unless you absolutely must have NOS.

cheers guys

Hey guys cheers for the kind words I,ve had a fair few mountain bikes over the years but the chance of getting a near mint 90 lavadome was to good an opportunity to miss
Just got to pick it up saturday and then get out there and ride it, a groupset upgrade may be on the cards but not for a while yet
