Spinergy Spox Wheels thoughts...

Hi,

Yes, I have some spare spoke keys...or you can just borrow some if you need.
I'd need some pics of both ends of your spokes to make sure that I have the right ones...there have been several different nipple versions and colours over the years, both splined and hexagonal.

I don't know the exact lengths needed for the 700c wheels (since I've only got 26" ones, radial or crossed), but Spinergy's description is in decimal inches from end to end: XX.XXX".
You can calculate this without taking a spoke out by adding 1.375" to the measured length of visible coloured spoke length (This is 1.0" for the long threaded end, plus 0.375" for the fixed nipple end)

As a guide to getting in the right sort of length, their 700c sports wheelchair wheels used 11.09".

All the best,
Hey,

Thanks for the above, very helpful.

The measured length of my spokes seems to be 241mm. This (https://ebay.us/m/hYO6ZZ) is the only person I can find selling spox spokes and annoyingly the closest size they sell seems to be out of stock. That's assuming the measurements they're giving are based on your above measured length. They also aren't replying to my messages about sizing which isn't particularly helpful.

I have a set of these, too.
Mine had the rims develop cracks around the spoke holes. And the back hub separated because the glue between the carbon and the Aluminium gave.
Took me 2 years to find a suitable new rim. And one year to find those special spoke tools. The tools are made from aluminium and wear fast! And the spokes threads like to bind. It took forever to undo all the spokes. I had blisters on my fingers after. And I still have nightmares about the whole ordeal.
Did anyone mention the side flex yet? 🤣

But they do look good on my Szasbo.
