Spin me round, spin me right round

I suspect this is an age thing but I am finding I like high cadence low spinney gearing. Consequently my legs go like the Hare but my pace is of the Tortoise in the old parable. Anyone else become a spinner or are you a high gear slow Cranker?

I find using the 48 outer and all the cogs better especially into the wind. More torque higher up, but you dont seem to lose momentum much. Spinning always seems to sap my energy more.
This is on a standard 26/38/48 8spd(on 7spd shifters)
On the cove its 2x10 38/24 and the gearing is much better, more intuitive if that makes any sense. But again I get on better using the larger ring and all of the cogs, rather than changing 3/4 of the way up to a smaller chainring.

I was gonna say that I was prone to spinning, but then realised that I'm just crap at cycling and have to use low gears :(
