Specialized-Stumpjumper-M2 £200 BIN

Mmm

mmmmm...maybe I will keep it :?
But I've nearly finished this
Ebaystuff094.jpg

And I can't have two
Lets see what it turns out like when I open the box!

Spesh

Got the M2 Spezialized Stumpy Pro today...and boy am I well pleased with it!
The frames in great condition bar a few scratches and scrapes..nothing serious. Everything thing feels tight and hardly used. The front wheel is radially spoked 8) brass nipples front and rear with what looks like sapim spokes. The forks are great...drive gear all in superb condition.
Downside bits....don't like the bars/stem/seatpost/seat...but perfectly OK.
Was going to post some pictures but got to work (where the bike is) and battery flat :(

What size is it?
Give it a go, apart from my much newer S-works its the nicest alu hardtail I have ridden and gives you plenty of speed for your energy input
Reckon you got a great deal there, sold my spare M2 frame on its own for over a hundred.
Only got two left now the Orange (sorry,Mango) like yours and a Blue one that is on the main board in the thread about powdercoating.
Its a 98, the last year they were made in the US

Huntso
Its 19"...thought it might be a little big for my little stumpy legs but feels OK.
Had a quick blast and it sure feels like its gonna be fast.
To be honest I bought with the view to making a quick buck...but I like it to much already!
Nearly finished building up a non-too retro Klein with CK hubs and Dreadset, Thomson this and that bla bla bla...expensive kit....but I'm more excited by this Stumpy.
Mmmm..what to do what to do.
Can't justify two bikes to the mrs :?

Have you got a winter bike ? ( ie modern frame and forks , disc brakes , not too expensive ) .

if yes , re sell the Klein and keep the M2 for summer use .

Yes..I think you maybe right...but will proberly have to split the Klein to get any sort of reasonable return.

98er

PS...have a mate with a slightly later Stumpy comp, about 2000, but you mentioned 98 was the last made in the US. His has made in the US stickers.... :?: :?: :?: where were they made after, OK I can guess.
