Did you manage to sort out the rear shock?
Mine is in a similarly slack state.

I had a very rare service kit for the Alps 4 and a spare Cane Creek shock also so a bit spoilt really

Those shocks are easily stripped and cleaned / reassembled. You may well just a good clean and reassemble will sort it. Worked for me. I found my leak was just the valve inner. Which is 50p to replace.

Just found a rebuild video from Risse Racing on YouTube so will probably have a crack at it myself.
