I really like this one but doesnt the 1987 Stumpjumper used to have U-brake on the rear and from about 1990's canti's?

Bike seems a bit messy to mee with the parts, and for that amount of money.

I thought this too but I know Specialized switched to seatstay rear brakes in 88. I actually have the same bike with u-brake. My bike also has single-piece cast stem rather than the T-Bone style one in this auction, mine also has the older barrel-style Deore thumbies.

I love the De-Nucci/purple scheme

Odd. this is a 1988 DiNucci Green, magenta pink STumpy. But with cantis instead of a U brake.
