Specialized S-Works M2 Team with Pace RC36

*tried*

Retro Newbie
Selling my Specialized I've owned since circa 1996.
15 inch frame (seat tube).
Deore XTR groupset but with XT levers and brakes to allow for V-Brake set up
XTR Hubs
Original Saddle
Pace RC36 (recently serviced)

Great condition considering its age. One minor problem - star nut inside steerer is twisting inside therefore I can't remove forks or tension headset properly. Might need someone mechanically minded to resolve this.

CAn you jam a screwdriver or something up the bottom of the steerer tube to give some resistance to the star nut so you can turn the bolt against it? once you've got the bolt out, you can tap the star nut down through the steerer and out the bottom...

Lovely bike BTW. good luck!

Re:

I'd be very interested in some parts from this if you decide to strip it?

Re:

Thanks for the replies. I'll try that out with the star nut.

Spudly - I'd prefer to sell complete really, but do feel free to make me an offer.
