Specialized Rockhopper seatpost size

Need to know the seatpost size for a Specialized rockhopper, not sure on the year but I'm led to believe its the last of the steel frames. There is no canti hanger so I'm guessing 1997?
I cannot measure it because of others previous attempts of removing a stuck post has left the top mishapen. OD of the seat tube is 32mm towards the top and 31.8mm towards the front mech area. It also has the direct drive chain/seat stays.
Any clues appreciated, thanks.

Thanks, is that a guess? That would mean the seat tube wall thickness is 0.8/0.7mm which is less than I would have thought for a low end steel frame.

Well I mean low end out of proper bikes, not counting the scaffold tube BSO's

30.4mm sound right. My old steel stumpie ran 30.4mm

If it has a Ritchey Nitanium tubeset, it's deffo 30.4
