Any bike shop should keep all the common sizes of ball bearing in stock. SPD pedals mostly use lots and lots of 3/32" balls. If you need other parts they can be ordered from Madison, the UK Shimano distributor.

The problem being that 3/32" isn't what you would call common. I can count on one hand the number of people who have asked me about servicing SPDs in the last 10 years!

I'm not saying that they're difficult to get it's just that there's not a demand for them (at least down my way) which means that most shops won't stock them as standard. The best place to go is your local bearing shop. Tell them what they're for, as bearings come in different hardnesses and they have to be hard to stand up to the pressure they're put under.

That's the problem. We live in a throw away society so that's why so few people look after things.

http://www.ukbikestore.co.uk/produc...d-m324-steel-ball-bearings-332-62-pieces.html Here looks promising, from shimano them selves, il probably pass on shimano and look for higher grade ;) *goes to learn about grades on wikipedia*
http://simplybearings.co.uk/shop/p3...ings+(Pack+of+50)+Grade+100/product_info.html hmm stainless steel bearings. . apparently less hard than the chrome plated ones bust resist corrosion, on the same site they have grade 100 pack of 50 of 3/32 chromed ball bearings for about £6.50 with p&p might go for them :)

They're just basic quality ones but they should do the job. If you can try to get grade 25 as they're much 'rounder' than 100s. Campag use grade 25 as standard on the higher end stuff.

Cool, on that website 100 was the best grade i could find, and still it was pretty steep £6 for 50 :S shimano did 100 for £5 ... (not sure what grade though)

I'd assume grade 100 for the price which seems to be the most common grade.

Your local bearing shop would have a better selection of grades and hardnesses. My local shop even has grade 10 bearings at the cost of £5 for 10!
