You could try using them for V or cantilever brakes, I have my coat....

I have discs and vs on our tandem, but the superior disc brake is all you need on a decent touring setup

Very nice. New seat, STIs, maybe guards off and wider tyres. Will you go discs and 1X?

1st 3 for sure.
interestingly, mudguards on a bike rarely increase its perceived value, and often detract. (In a shop environment)

Basically undiscable!

Nice paint.

1x is really a mtb or flatter terrain feature.
It's quite expensive to keep the gear steps comfortable with 1x, and the wear characteristics are not great.

Makes sense. No point chucking a capable drive train. Educate me: why is the fork undiscable? Too much force on the steerer? Could you do it on 1 1/8”?

Send me some measurements for the spoke holder. let's do something a bit more specific.

Educate me: why is the fork undiscable? Too much force on the steerer? Could you do it on 1 1/8”?

The blade wasn't built to carry the braking force at the axle, and its almost impossible to get inch disc Forks.
Also if I modify a frame or fork, I have legal obligations for its performance.

So on 1&1/8 I can fit a different fork, but I don't like Threaded headset much for disc braking forces, so go "ahead". Fork availability is good too.
