Some musings on my scott

marin man

Old School Grand Master
I have just finished the alterations on my scott and it weighs 24.1lbs I think that is quite light for a hard tail that is useable :? I may lose some weight from my chain and my stem as I have a lighter carbon one for it,that should give me about 23.7lbs I will then be happy 8)

(weight is with the saddle bag  )

Before anyone says it.....I do use this and it is main ride as the marin does not go out in the winter at all

It rides well and is much better for the spoked wheels,I also think the pace pro class are excellent and they are nos as well and really plush and active...nearly as good as my z1 that I used to have but much much lighter 8)

those wheels are sexual.

is that tensioner necessary? must weigh 100g ?

Thanks lewis,The tensioner weighs about 90 grams yes but I have had it since I owned the frame first time around,It does help to stop the frame getting chipped near the bb where the stays are.It was a real mess where the chain had hit it while not in my possesion :x

I love the new wheels more than any I have owned,They are a funny profile as they bulge out and are massively stiff  and fast 8)
