softy moment - how did you meet your partner?

First time we met was, I think, at a gig I was roadying (sp?).. one of her mates fancied my Brother (guitarist in t'band) so the whole gang turned up..
We got together when, walking through a fair, one of her mates goosed me and blamed her... that was 1992... we got engaged a year later and are still (engaged).

I was driving along in a sports car I couldn't drive properly when she hopped in as she thought I was kerb crawling. We went back to my hotel then over the next few days resolved issues I had with my paternal relationship, my business ethics and the general concepts of perception and snobbery.
We lived happily ever after. I think Roy Orbison was there too at some point.

My ex-gfs friend's then Man. City-supporting boyfriend Phil opened a pub in Copenhagen while we were still together.
When the ex and I were in the throes of splitting up in summer 97, Barnsley got themselves promoted to the Premiership. Went to aforementioned pub to gloat on a Sunday afternoon and a blonde and a brunette came in. I thought the brunette was very pretty but didn't want a relationship as was still sort of in one. Went over, told her I thought she was hot and then went home. Excessive alchohol had nothing to do with this behaviour.
Within 10 minutes of getting in, phone rings and Phil's on the other end - "What have you been doing there's this blonde woman stood at the bar asking questions about you?". Am still living with ex at this point so agree to meet up day after to say that it was all too complicated and very bad timing. Brunette agrees to go just to keep blonde friend quiet as she thinks I'm shallow. But chemistry was too good. Less than 2 years later we're married with 2 kids. And still together after 13 years.

Substitute appropriate bait of choice in order to ensnare the object of your desire. Copies of Heat magazine or bottles of blue WKD best avoided....

I was managing a cycle shop, a girl came in with the most heavy and dangerous bike i've ever seen, she started buying me cake and i sold her a better safer bike..........true story , been married 4 years now
