Whilst chewing my sandwich at my desk, I thought I have a scan through some of my photos, and consequently stumbled upon some of my ((ahem)) RTS when I first joined this site!

Back then, I used it for faffing, and the Avalanche for riding!

So, I thought I might as well post up some pics of its journey back to a half decent bike  It's taken 6 months or so, but its been worth it.

1) In its raw state, with triple clamps, flat pedals, naff seatpost and risers

2) The triple clamps were good forks, but didnt suit so there gone (onto Ed's San-An  ), RS Darts in, straight bar + ends, SPD's back, new stem.

3) Stem replaced (previous was a wrong red), Flite and American Classic post 8)

4) As it is now, SPIN, red anodized outer ring + bolts + jockey wheels + seatclamp, Pickle decals 8) and a few Brasso sessions.

Nice! That Spin's done the rounds!!

onto Ed's San-An
Not strictly true, just yet - still stripping the yellow paint off them. Using some Bombers in the meantime on the San An. The latter is getting a run out on Cannock tonight in the hands of my nextdoor neighbour who's never been on full suss before.

And its stopping with me now! I'm not going to ride it all the time, just use it at MM this year, and for light summer (yea, right  ) dry rides. Keep it looking nice, and use the original Mavic 221's for main duties.

Looking forward to seeing them done. As I say, they're a good fork, but didnt suit the look of the RTS. On the monocoque San-An they'll look good.

And your brave BTW, lending the beast out......
