Claimed this the other day, I thought it was a tange as it was super light and bare steel, bit like the merlin frames of BITD.
I needed to get it home in my panniers so I removed the fork and then noticed the magenta paint on the fork steerer, upon closer inspection I notice more of the same colour on the dropout and the inside of the cable stops so now I question..... what am I ?

It came with XT M737 with canti's, LX chainset, X-ray shifers, Dia compe aheadset and brake levers, forks are stamped spinner TB 1995 and the frame dropouts H056 and BB frame number U50203795.

we all love a frame mystery 8)

Well done chaps...... after looking at the 95 catalogue I can now concur, bars and stem match the spec too.

Cheers

Not a lot gets past the identification police

Damn straight :D

Always thought these were underrated... tubing is indeed very light!

What's the plan...keep it bare metal and lacquer it, or something with paint?

Re:

mmmm plan was downsizing the fleet and I seem to be hitting my hoarding phase in life, so its gotta go straight through I think, I just dont have the space but cant resist saving something that needs a new life............. bit like a donkey sanctuary

its really light though, and does deserve some love........... oh and paint
