I particularly like the part where the woman has to brake as someone opens a car door and steps out in front of her. The rider just smiles meekly and carries on her way. I can only assume the electric bike has a calming or maybe labotomising effect on the rider. :shock:

Personally, the idea of electrics bikes is much like pedal cars.... ie counter intuitive. Cars are being lazy, bikes are for excercise, even while going to the shops or work

But imagine that, on warm sunny day there is possibility to get somewhere dry (not soaking with perspire, as I always do ) and with normal heart rate!
Must be perfect place to live! Even streets is rather empty there!

There are so many wonderful bikes out there that I could spend that money on, this is defo not one of them.

I agree bikes are for fitness not laziness, I have four wheels for those days.

I see a huge market for these.

Cycling is a broad church, and something like this would suit the commute and sight seeing city riding perfectly.

Did a lot of work on an electric bike setup for a disabled friend a few years back and I took to riding it to and from my workshop rather than sticking it in the van. It was quite a blast, sitting there whooshing along.

Just needed a bit of pedalling on the slopes, but managed the twenty miles odd with juice to spare.

They can only get more practical as the tech improves.
