small and light 6mm hex allen key adapter

100%, otherwise i would bolt on a rack to carry full halfords socket set. Many years have gone in to refining the toolkit so it is minimal yet will fix 98.475% of breakdowns.

(Looking for a more compact chain tool, note bkacburn tool had two t shape allen keys but they are cast so weaker than the allen keys in the kit plus have rounded heads that are more likely to round off stubborn bolts due to lower contact arra, oh, and the alloy body has been drilled to save weight)

Three tyre levers? THREE?! You need to work on your tyre change technique. You could have that down to one and cut down/drilled at that.

And the plastic case? You could carry it all wrapped up in a condom and save AT LEAST a gram and a half.

Normally when I come across stupid weight weeny questions like this I'd advise going for a dump before every ride as it'd have more effect on weight however in your case picking your nose and maybe doing a fart will offset the weight penalty of a full 6mm Allen key I think.

It was inevitable somebody would say take a dump before you go out for a ride. Well maybe you have the talent to shit on demand but it is something I've yet to master. And even if I could manage it, so what? I will still benefit form the reduction of weight, albeit it a few grammes or the alternative question is why carry something unnecessary?

I may look into reducing the three tyres levers to two. Most of my tyres are Kevlar bead that I can remove by hand but there maybe some that I can't. In winter when my hands are freezing and the tyres are less flexible, tyre levers are essential equipment. I have too many bikes to remember which so to ensure I don't walk home or back to the car, levers are a must.

I've looked at multitools but there are too many parts I do not need hence unnecessary weight.

But you could buy the cheapest and only use the 5/6mm sleeve adaptor...or saw off the unwanted bits?

I am really quite intrigued as to why you worry about the weight or unnecessary tools on a multi-tool. In competition I get that weight is the enemy, but for training / riding for fun what is the importance. When I'm out I take a couple of spare tubes tyre lever puncture repair kit and a multi tool. Its extra weight on the bike for sure but it doesn't hamper my riding or the experience so I'm curious as to why you do.
BTW I respect your right to take what you please and I intend no malice by my question.

Youre right. Weightweenieism is a disease and unless yiu have it you can not understand the importance of savung 5g.

Rather like retrobikeism where you will pay over the odds for a pair of nos amberwalls when modern tyres are cheaper and better in every aspect..... i wont even mention Kleinism.
