I think its about 100 miles one way and about 80 or so the next.

I was going to propose a roadie overnighter, Saltcoats/Arran/Oban one day and back the next via Dunoon.

Is Skye proposed to be an on road or off road trip ?

either or both I'd say velo - no fixed agenda as yet - just somewhere to go/hang out on bikes

Haven't looked at maps - just threw it in as a thought as TK insisted on going there.

Applecross - yikes - did that a couple of years ago from Lochcarron in persisting rain - I was last up the hill, then we all turned around and went back, bruised into submission by wind and water hitting us from all angles. OK we - can do that then.
