Sky Tv probs

Hi, dont know whether we have any digital tv experts on this site but recently my sky tv has started skipping and freezing on certain channels, ITV1 is particularly bad, the Mrs cant even watch the X Factor which some may think is a good thing .
However Eurosport is getting pretty bad now as well.
Its a basic Sky system not Plus or Hd with an Amstrad box.
I have looked at the signal test and it shows full signal and nearly full signal quality.

unplug it, disconnect all the leads and leave it for a few minutes, it could be static build up screwing up the system? pull the viewing card as well
my neighbours system does the same thing every so often and doing that helps!

the last place I would go for 'advice' :roll:

just google your model number and it will pop up.

that happened to mine a while back , when i phoned sky they got me to unplug it for 2 minutes then switch it back on and bobs your uncle....

Thanks for the advise will try unplugging it again but its been unplugged for a week while we where on holiday :cry:

Does the cable from the dish look in a good state of repair?
