I went for a 20 mile ride yesterday on a seat I'd hardly ridden on before, it's one of those narrow, slimline things with no padding. It felt uncomfortable during the ride and I found myself standing and moving around a lot to try and relieve the discomfort, but it wasn't until after the ride when I sat on a wooden coffee table to put my trainers on that I realised my right arse cheek felt as though it had a tennis ball in it!
Now I took a couple of strong ibuprofen tablets before the ride yesterday because my back was feeling a little 'peaky' and I'm wondering if they've actually masked a more serious pain that was developing 'down under'!
The swelling is where the seat touched my right cheek and I'm presuming will go down in a couple of days, but has anybody experienced this before? There is no pain or external swelling, but obvious discomfort when sitting on anything harder than sofa. Stick a tennis ball in your rear trouser pocket and you will get my drift.
