Single Speed stuff

Hi,
I'm looking at having a go at a single speed (after much persuading by others ).
I have a the basic bike bits at the moment such as frame, fork, wheels etc so I'm after the necessary drive bits like a conversion kit (16, 15 tooth or whatever's best) for in place of the sprockets, a crank and chainring (34 or close I guess) and a tensioner.
Budget is pretty minimal unfortunately due to lack of funds and I'm not sure I want to spend loads on something I'm not entirely convinced on (yet!).

I have a brand new Thorn 110 BCD chain ring, but it's 44T, so probably bigger than you're looking for.

pretty much any toothed rear cog but wont be ss specific, free with any of the above

Cranks with modern BB and Shimano clipless pedals for £40 inc P&P?

Pedals are stuck on, no chance of removing them. But they are in perfect condition so why would you want to?

No chainring.
