Single left hand gear lever ???????

Just picked up a Campagnolo single gear lever mount but it is definitely left handed.........

Whats that all about then ???

Or think Lance Armstrong (if you can bring yourself to!). On mountain stages of the TdF he rode with an STI lever on the right and a DT lever on the left. Possibly this Campag one is for riders with a Bar End lever on the right and a DT on the left?

Would make sense on mountain stages as you want lightness and you are only going to make minimal changes on the front
