Brooks saddles were widely used over here as well.
I'll take a picture of the Max lugset, I've got a NOS one here and it's simply gorgeous.

Don't hide it!
Nothing wrong with Brooks Professionals on any bike I say. If you weight concious there are alternatives, but a 'worn in' Brooks is worth the weight penalty I say; ) I do have, and use, the old, now classic, basic Turbos.....

nice! Max has this timeless look.Would look even better with chromed lugs.
Thanks for that.
Matter of opinion this one.
I go for the 'understated,' 'laid back' look; )
Mostly.

But I got other, more 'in your face' bikes......
You wanna see some?
yes!

Well, my http://bicyclz.com/wordpressure/ is 'down' currently (internet vandalism, as with broken glass on the roads... Mindless vandals in other words) but it'll be back up & running shortly.

Meanwhile here are a couple of mine on ClassicLightweights.co.uk:
http://www.classiclightweights.co.uk/bi ... hn-rb.html
http://www.classiclightweights.co.uk/bi ... er-rb.html

Not so much 'in your face' but very cool vintage items nevertheless; )
PM me for other details. I got gigabytes of my machines, past & present, and always willing to share details with enthusiasts. (Spammers/timewasters can 'do one'.)

John.

nice ones on the fork crown pic request. the forks look quite aero. the pics of the crafts men at work in your shop are really good as they file and wet and dry to perfection.

Love the Simoncini/Columbus pics; )
Doing the work! Impressive.

A multi-tasking Italian male is surely impressive to mere Brits.....?
But me only really impressed by Italian girls..... Mostly.
Bikes a close second.

dunno 'bout that. I was born In London and grew up there in any case.
Careful with italian girls, they have a sharp temper (ducks)

Careful with all girls I say; )
Feisty = challenge = good, IMHO.

Bit like Italian machines: Not for the staid ('Englishman'), but well worth it in the end: )

I bought this after reading about your frame restoration. I think this is probably the true original bike spec, complete with Miche headset. I would date it as 1996/7 just before Dura Ace went 9 speed (This is DA 8 speed).

Record seatpost
Cinelli handlebars and Stem
Dura Ace 7400? 8 spd groupset including DA hubs with Mavi rims
Selle Fite Titanium saddle
