It was more of a PITA to put them back together. Upper dust seals on mine were very much plasticized.

I have a nice NOS M2 waiting for the 17.4" ARC to get done, will get new bumpers for it anyways.

I don't suppose you know where I can get bottom out bumpers for M2's

Just wasted most of an afternoon trying to fix up and service these forks and in the end managed to completely explode one of the bottom out bumpers.

You are right about too much purple though. I may have got a little carried away - or as ameybrook put it so eloquently - "There's a line between tasteful ano and overkill" - I may have stepped over the same line with my chainrings...
