I'm helping a friend's child who has Asperger's - tinkering in the garage and building bikes makes him come alive.

If you can drive, get in a taxi. Crap work but it gets you an income whilst you look for something else. Ass burgers aside, the customers will be just as loony.

No surprise you didn't get it back. You have learnt from this??

Do not trust people who have done time.

Didn't you read his post fully? :roll: :roll: :roll: He has Asperger's syndrome which affects his perception and communication skills. He is not stupid. He probably cannot help taking people at face value and, sadly, may sometimes be taken advantage of because of it.

Don't have a frame to donate but will pay postage for anyone who has.

As you can see from his post it was a reasoned, conscious decision, nowt to do with his Aspergers.

I still don't hold that against him though. He's a cycling brother who's a victim of crime, and if he'll accept our help I'll donate done bits.

Yeah, 'cos nobody else ever flounces from here, do they.

The way I see it, some people may not like him, others may have no problem - there's probably countless people, here, that fall into the same category.

And it doesn't take some kind of psychological genius, to get that Aspergers is probably not being faked - he has a long history of posting, here, some things are apparent from what he has written and posted.

I feel geniunely sorry for him - he probably has some issues, and probably takes things more on face value than many would - and as a result, gets his retrobike lifted.

Plenty of people post stuff, here, looking for something of a lift from this community we call retrobike - yourself included - it just seems the more popular people are indulged more.

I say cut the guy some slack, I hope he stays, if some don't like some of the things he posts, well nobody has some hitman with a nickle-plated 9 pressed against their temple making them read his stuff - well at least I'm fairly sure nobody has a detached assasin making them read his stuff.

The one thing that even utter bas$tards and misanthropes like me find refreshing about all this? The number of people willing to donate stuff to help him out. You don't see that kind of spirit of community in every online forum.

If he has Asperger's Syndrome (and unlike Tintin I am prepared to trust people unless demonstrated otherwise, it makes life more pleasant that way), every decision he makes is influenced by his condition.
